This was a very one-sided game with Beccles having to soak up most of the pressure against a very well organised Magpies 6th team. Magpies dominated the midfield and played an excellently executed passing game, nearly always finding their player. However, on the positive side, Beccles fielded 13 players for this home match with Jodie Sharp returning after illness and Ali Foreman after injury. Sara Grant again kindly agreed to go in goal, in the absence of the regular keeper, and did a really good job making several good saves. Despite the pressure, on the defence and midfield, Beccles did exceptionally well as it took until the 28th minute before Magpies were able to break the deadlock. Another quick goal followed and Beccles went in only 2-0 down at half time. Again, in the second half Beccles stood up to the pressure until the last 10 minutes when the visitors scored two more goals, the latter being just two minutes before full time, to make the final score 4-0.
